Due to the increase in motorbikes, attracted by the school fields, open fields and woodland to the rear of Throapham, steps are being taken to reduce access. Boulders have been placed at the end of the alley running alongside Throapham, and the grassed area at the end of Oldcoates Close which still allows access is under review. The council is looking for your feedback as to placing a fence across this piece of land (there were boulders there which served their purpose but these have been moved for use else where). Please provide your feedback so that an even and democratic decision can be made as to what Throapham residents feel is practicable to reduce the rising anti social behaviour.

Here is an image of the type of fencing proposed to be placed at the rear of the last property at Oldcoates Close to the rear of the corner property at Jessop Court.

The council is trying its hardest to provide the tools we require to reduce antisocial behaviour in Throapham. Additional investment by them will see Natural Sandstone Cut Blocks take up the line of the old woodland fence. The fence is now past its best and to retain the boundary marker the blocks will be used. Ivy etc can then be grown over the blocks to blend them in to the boundary.
